Joseph Faiveley Clos de la Roche Grand Cru 2016
* Across any 6 bottles of wine, when purchased in store.
Le Clos de la Roche is in Morey-Saint-Denis and its name comes from the soil composed of rocks. It is probably the strongest and the most vigorous of the grands crus of Morey-Saint-Denis. Its depth and its strength give to this Grand Cru a very good ageing potential.
Beautiful dark ruby color. The nose reveals a complex bouquet of jammy fruit aromas, with some oaky notes. The palate is round and tannins are then quite intense. Full-bodied, this wine has also a nice tension and minerality. Well-structured and complex with an impressive length, this wine is a worthy representative of this renowned Grand Cru.
