Bright straw-green in colour, the bouquet is very expressive, with citrus zest and minerally aromas; the palate is rich and mouth filling, with multiple layers of flavour, yet does not cloy, thanks to a faintly chalky line of acidity.
"Santorini" is produced from the nobel grape variety Assyrtiko, which is cultivated on volcanic soils and on their original roots stocks for the last 3 millenium on the island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea. This ancient variety produces wines of abundant fruit, elegance, minerality and high acidity.
