This is Pinot Grigio for people who think they don't like Pinot Grigio. Made by Australian winemaker Justin Bubb in Italy's renowned Friuli region, Babo Pinot Grigio has far more character and texture than the simple versions that often dominate the category. Sourced from mature vineyards at the foothills of the Alps, it captures the freshness and aromatic lift that make Friuli one of Italy's premier white wine regions.
Bright citrus, crisp pear and subtle stone fruit flavours are backed by a gentle textural richness thanks to a small amount of skin contact and extended time on lees. The result is a wine that's fresh and vibrant, yet has enough weight and complexity to keep things interesting. Dry, zesty and incredibly food-friendly, it's the kind of bottle that works just as well with seafood, pasta and salads as it does on its own on a warm afternoon. Exceptional value and a great introduction to what quality Italian Pinot Grigio can really taste like.
