Pale yellow with fragrant aromas of citrus, lychee, and white nectarine. Fresh and zesty on the palate with lime zest, grapefruit, and dried lavender notes. Balanced natural sweetness with crisp acidity and a distinctive talcy, savoury finish.
Just 30kms north east of Hobart in the Coal River Valley, a unique site was discovered. Sitting below the imposing Mount Lord, with views over Pitt Water the property is beautiful and rugged. Proprietor Robert Hill-Smith and Winemaker Louisa Rose, intrinsically linked with Eden Valley Riesling, had tasted and talked about Tasmanian Riesling on many occasions, over many years. They were enthralled by the bracing steely backbone of these wines, that reminded them of the cool and wild climate of the Tasmanian Coast.
