A bone dry profile, this release is more restrained compared to the Watervale. According to Col, the wines from this site are improving every year and this vintage showcases that progression perfectly. Aromas of laser-guided wet stone, jasmine, and lime skin on the nose lead to a tightly coiled palate with a crystalline spine of acidity.
Lyn and Robert Jaeschke's Hill River Estate, planted in 2000, is the source of Adelina's Polish Hill River Riesling. Grown at an altitude of 460 metres on grey-brown loam over shale and sandy limestone, the fruit was destemmed, crushed, and pressed before being settled, racked, and fermented to dryness.
