Spy Valley Pinot Gris 2021
Two blocks of Pinot Gris were harvested over two days to attain a variety of flavor profiles for our blend. The Pinot Gris was both tank and oak-fermented, allowing the lees time to give complexity and linger to the taste. On the nose, there are pear-drop and melon aromas, plus a hint of honey. Citrus fruits linger in the background, with oat and nut hints further back. The warm vintage lends a subtle cinnamon spiciness. Fruit flavors of pear-drop and citrus dominate the palate, accompanied by texture and richness common to full-bodied Pinot Gris variations.
