Patrick Sullivan Chardonnay 2025 is a vibrant and expressive cool-climate wine from the Limestone Coast of South Australia. Patrick works mostly across Gippsland, Victoria, but for this wine he draws his fruits from the volcanic-derivied soils of Mt Gambier, Coonawarra and Wrattonbully. These sites give the wine a beautiful balance of fresh citrus energy. On the nose, the wine opens with zesty lime, lemon and grapefruit followed by white peach and subtle spice. On the palate, expect bright acidity and vibrant mineral notes, framed by creamy richness and subtle oak influence. Its layered texture and long, refreshing finish makes it both approachable now and very food-friendly.
About the winemaker:
Patrick Sullivan is a Viticulture-trianed Australian winemaker dedicated to crafting expressive, terroir-driven Chardonnay. Raised in rural Victoria, Patrick's passion for wine began young and led him to focus on viticulture rather than traditional winemaking, believing great wines start in the vineyard.
Since launching his label in 2013, Patrick has earned a reputation for producing site-specific wines that reflect their origins with clarity and individuality. Rooted in the cool-climate soils of Gippsland and other volcanic and limestone-rich vineyards, his Chardonnay showcases structure, freshness and minerality unique to each site.
Patrick's winemaking philosophy centres on minimal intervention and meticulous vineyard care, with the goal of letting each site's unique character shine through in his wines. His approach to thoughtful winemaking has made him one of Australia's exciting voices in contemporary Chardonnay.
