Aller Trop Lion OJ Orange Wine
Aller Trop Lion OJ Orange Wine is an expressive, skin-contact white that leans into joy, texture, and easy pleasure. Fresh but grippy, aromatic yet totally drinkable, this is an orange wine that doesn’t ask you to overthink it.
Lion OJ sits right in the sweet spot: enough skin contact to bring structure and depth, but still bright and refreshing. It’s an excellent entry point for orange wine newcomers and a fun, satisfying bottle for seasoned fans. Expect ripe citrus, orange peel, stone fruit, and floral notes, backed by a gentle tannic grip from skin contact. The palate is lively and textured without feeling heavy, finishing fresh and slightly savory.
About the wine:
Aller Trop Loin began with an accidental “de-koshering” by Mark Sztar at Six Parallels South. When the wine took off, he leaned in, creating a small range of deliberately non-kosher wines. Sourced from vineyards in the Yarra Valley, Bendigo, and Heathcote, the wines include both single varietals and blends. All his wines are: “unoaked, unfined, unfiltered, and unholy.”
