Philip Shaw No11 Chardonnay 2023

The No11 Chardonnay is sourced from blocks 6, 11, and 12, and is crafted from hand-harvested grapes with overnight settlement. Indigenous yeasts were used for fermentation within French oak barriques, of which 30% were new oak. Partial malolactic fermentation and battonage took place during maturation. Pale straw in colour with a green hue, the Chardonnay displays white florals and stone fruits on the nose along with a bright citrus lift. On the palate, its powerful yet elegant body is accompanied by savoury layers of toasty oak and cashew nut to create depth and complexity.
