2024 Grenache and Blend of the Year
Sourced from 17 hectares of un-irrigated bush vines planted in 1946. The grapes are hand-picked and selectively sorted in the winery. 50% of the whole berries are retained, and wild yeast is used for fermentation. During the process, there is a gentle pump over regime with a focus on wetting the cap. The skin maceration time varies, with most batches lasting around 21 days and some extended up to 140 days. No pressings are used, and the wine is matured in a mixture of older French oak puncheons and foudre, ceramic eggs, and amphora. It is certified Organic/Biodynamic.
The aroma is vibrant and intense, with a deep blue crimson color. On the palate, the medium body showcases red fruits, accompanied by a lively and savory undertone. The tannins are solid and mineral-driven, complementing the abundant red berry flavors. The finish is long and radiant, with a supple grip that maintains its finesse.
