Many vineyards for this Shiraz date back to the 19th century, and South Australia’s proactive quarantine measures spared them from the devastating phylloxera outbreak of the 1880s.
This Shiraz offers rich black fruit notes like satsuma plum, blackberry, and compote, complemented by hints of vanilla bean, dark cocoa, and maraschino liqueur. It is complex, opulently dense, and captivating. The wine's lush texture coats the palate with soft, yet substantial tannins and a full-bodied viscosity. Persistent flavors and refreshing acidity enhance the wine’s impressive length and depth. Expertly aged in oak, it achieves an elegant complexity at release.
