Roseblood d'Estoublon 1489 Rose 2023
* Across any 6 bottles of wine, when purchased in store.
The 1489 Rosé from Domaine d'Estoublon is the kind of bottle you open on a warm evening and somehow find yourself finishing before dinner's even on the table.
From a beautiful 2023 vintage in Provence, it's an 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah blend that hits that rare sweet spot: mineral and complex enough to hold your attention, but fresh and generous enough to keep things effortless. Pale and luminous in the glass, with a blush of vine peach, it opens up with wild raspberry, spring flowers, and the faintest whisper of vanilla and toast. The palate is lively and fruit-forward.
This is a gastronomic rosé, which is a fancy way of saying it's brilliant with food. Think grilled seafood, a good charcuterie spread, or honestly, just a sunny afternoon.
Winemaking
Nothing about this wine is rushed. The grapes are hand-picked — some parcels in two separate passes to make sure everything is harvested at exactly the right moment. Sorting is done by hand, both in the vineyard and in the winery. After cold pressing and careful settling, the wine is aged across a mix of stainless steel tanks, large-format vats, and 225L and 500L barrels, with a touch of new oak for structure. The result is a wine that feels effortless but is anything but.
