Moss Wood Ribbon Vale Chardonnay 2024
* Across any 6 bottles of wine, when purchased in store.
Ribbon Vale Chardonnay showcases prominent lime, white peach, and grapefruit flavors, while Moss Wood Chardonnay leans towards yellow peach, marmalade, and cashew nut notes. These distinctions are particularly intriguing considering both wines are produced using the same vineyard and winemaking methods.
The aroma opens with vibrant stonefruit aromas of peaches and nectarines, complemented by tropical hints of guava and lychee. Beneath this lies a sophisticated blend of shortbread, buttery croissant pastry, and roasted almonds and cashews. On the palate, ripe nectarine and peach mingle with honeydew melon, kiwi, and subtle popcorn notes. This wine presents a firm structure with balanced acidity and tannins, harmonized by a rich, full body. Nuances of caramel from malolactic fermentation and toasted oak from new barrels add further complexity.
