The Martinborough Vineyard estate Pinot Noir comes entirely from the vineyards on the Martinborough Terrace, the oldest vines dating back to 1980. It its youth the wine typically shows dark fruit and savoury aromas, with a dense, rich tannin structure on the palate. This is and impressively concentrated intense Pinot Noir.
Winemaker Notes
Aroma:
In its youth the nose shows black cherry, dark chocolate and Asian spice notes that will typically change to savoury, earthy characters as the wine ages.
Palate:
A rich, concentrated and elegant Pinot Noir with supple savoury tannins. On the palate the layers of dark fruits are beautifully entwined with soft, velvet tannins and a seamless texture.
Cellaring Potential:
This wine exhibits power and poise and will age gracefully for 10+ years.
