Albariño is one of Spain's great white wine grapes, originating on the cool Atlantic coastline of Galicia, where it produces the vibrant, seafood-friendly wines of Rías Baixas. Australia's introduction to Albariño was famously delayed when early plantings were discovered to be Savagnin rather than the real thing, but today the genuine article is thriving in our vineyards.

This modern Australian expression is bright, fruit-driven and textural, showing fresh green melon, citrus and a subtle saline edge. If you enjoy Sauvignon Blanc but are looking for something with more texture and complexity, Albariño is a natural next step.

Perfect with tapas, fresh seafood, grilled prawns and Basque-inspired dishes, this is a versatile white that shines both as an aperitif and at the table. Drink now for its freshness and vibrant fruit, or enjoy over the next 2–4 years as additional texture and savoury complexity emerge.

About the Winemaker:

La Petite Mort is anything but ordinary. Created by winemakers Glen Roberts and Andrew Scott, this small-batch wine project is all about pushing boundaries while drawing inspiration from the past. Rather than following modern trends, the wines are crafted using traditional techniques and ancient methods, bringing old-world winemaking into a fresh, contemporary style.
