The Glenrothes is matured and bottled at its peak of flavor, rather than a predetermined age. Distillation takes place at a slow pace in tall stills, and maturation occurs solely in Spanish Sherry casks. This process results in an award-winning Speyside single malt. Considered the quintessential "house" style of Glenrothes, this release is aged exclusively in Sherry casks and is the second in the new "Soleo" series, showcasing expressions ranging from 10 to 25 years old.

Compared to the entry-level bottling, this 12-year-old has more refinement and a smoother, rounder taste with moderate weight and length. The dried fruit, dark chocolate, and spice flavors are present in perfect balance, making it the ultimate easy-drinking Speyside whiskey.
