Produced from 100% McLaren Vale Shiraz, this full-bodied South Australian red showcases the richness and generosity that have made the region famous. The outstanding 2018 vintage, combined with 22 months of maturation in French and American oak hogsheads, has created a beautifully balanced wine with depth, structure and impressive complexity.
Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, dark chocolate and baking spice are layered with savoury notes of leather, coffee and dried herbs. The palate is plush and concentrated, with juicy black cherry and plum flavours framed by fine tannins, balanced acidity and a long, smooth finish. A perfect match for slow-roasted lamb, grilled steaks, charcuterie and hearty barbecue dishes, this McLaren Vale Shiraz is drinking superbly now and will continue to reward careful cellaring over the next 5–8 years.
