Coldstream Hills Pinot Noir is a benchmark cool climate Pinot Noir and displays the hallmark varietal character and style. The wine is made using a variety of handling and fermentation techniques, which aim to produce a wine with varietal intensity, texture & length. Usually at its peak 3 to 5 years from vintage.
Winemaker Notes
Colour:
Medium - light cherry red with trace crimson.
Nose:
A complex bouquet with vibrant fruit characters of sour cherry, blueberry and raspberry underpinned by secondary notes of anise, five spice and French oak.
Palate:
Medium bodied in style with great texture and silky persistent tannins. Fruit characters of sour cherry, plum and blueberry dominate the palate, which are further enhanced by hints of spice and raspberry. Whole bunch stalkiness and integrated French oak provide additional complexity and structure to the wine.
