Bollinger in the Magnum size is always a sight to behold. Nicely gift boxed, Bollinger has always been a favourite at Jim's.
Lily Bollinger was asked "When do you drink champagne?", and replied: "I only drink champagne when I'm happy, and when I'm sad. Sometimes I drink it when I'm alone. When I have company, I consider it obligatory. I trifle with it if I am not hungry and drink it when I am. Otherwise I never touch it - unless I'm thirsty." An amazing champagne!
Winemaker Notes
To the eye:
A golden colour, distinctive of black grape varieties
Very fine bubbles.
To the nose:
A beautiful aromatic complexity. Ripe fruit and spicy aromas. Hints of roasted apples, apple compote and peaches
To the palate:
A subtle combination of structure, length and vivacityBubbles like velvet Pear, brioche and spicy aromas, notes of fresh walnut.
