Airlie Bank Gris on Skins 2022
* Across any 6 bottles of wine, when purchased in store.
This is what happens when a winemaker decides to throw out the rulebook. Airlie Bank's Gris on Skins spent two weeks fermenting with its grape skins still on (a technique that gives the wine a gorgeous amber-orange colour). It's then aged in old oak barrels with no fining or filtering, so what you're getting is completely natural and unmanipulated.
If you've never tried an orange wine before, this is a great place to start. It's food-friendly, interesting, and genuinely unlike anything else on the shelf. Pairs brilliantly with charcuterie, hard cheeses, or anything off the grill.
