00 Wines carefully select Chardonnay grapes from premier growers in the Willamette Valley. By utilizing the "Black Chardonnay" method and exposing the grapes to oxygen before fermentation without sulfites, they are able to achieve a stunning transformation from dark to radiant gold.
The EGW is the yin and yang of Chardonnay - two different fruit sources with opposing characteristics from volcanic and sedimentary soils, high and low elevations, and Dijon and Wente clones in a 50/50 blend to create a seamless whole expression.
The aroma is filled with crisp green apple, tangy lemon zest, and roasted hazelnuts, accompanied by subtle hints of dried herbs, delicate white flowers, and a touch of white pepper and salt. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with refreshing acidity that gives it a lively quality. The finish is lengthy and defined, leaving a refined mineral taste that perfectly brings the wine together. Limited to 300 cases.
