Torbreck The Descendant is an Shiraz-Viognier whose vineyards was planted with cuttings from the winery's famed RunRig vineyards, making it a direct, literal descendant of the older vines. The name "Descendant" translates to the wine's lineage, as the grapes come from a single vineyard with the oldest genetic vine material in Australia, and the wine is matured for 20 months in French oak barriques barrels previously used for the RunRig.
It offers an elegant and powerful character with notes of blackberry, plum, spice, and floral hints, all supported by a dense, creamy texture and balanced tannins.
