The “Baby Amarone” wines of Valpolicella Ripasso are a much more affordable way to try this bold, seductive style.This wine combines the traditional Appassimento with fresh fruit for a lighter, more floral ripasso style. Ripe plum, cherry, and red flowers, followed by oak driven vanilla and sweet tobacco. Prune finish, some chocolate, licorice. Easy to drink but full bodied and otherwise a rather serious wine
