Le Chat Noir Pinot Noir 2013
* Across any 6 bottles of wine, when purchased in store.
The cool climate Aude Valey in the south of France produces arguably the best French Pinot Noir outside of Burgundy. The Le Chat Noir is a stylish wine without the pretension which often comes across in the French style.
Winemaker Notes
A dense and brooding nose; revealing aromas of sour cherry and dark berries with subtle spicy oak and a touch of pepper and herbs.
The palate is lively with dark cherry and raspberry fruit framed by fine tannins and delicate minerality. The quality of the vintage is evident in the high note aromatics, the ightly wound structure and classic Pinot Noir acidity.
Whilst approachable now, this wine will become more expressive over the next few years, gaining character and complexity.
