The 2018 Clare Valley vintage was characterized by a cool climate and long summer days, resulting in comfortably plateaued daytime temperatures. This mild season allowed our expert winemaking team to carefully harvest each parcel at the peak of maturity, as the grapes could remain on the vine for a longer period of time.
The subtle and enticing aromas of savory dark berries and spiced oak give way to a nose dominated by rich notes of dark chocolate, incense, and cherries. On the palate, vibrant red fruits and dark berries are balanced by hints of charcuterie and dark chocolate. The fruit is supported by fine tannins, while the seamlessly balanced acidity gives the wine a velvety finish.
