d'Arenberg The Footbolt Shiraz 2021
* Across any 6 bottles of wine, when purchased in store.
Before its name change to The Footbolt Shiraz in 1996, this wine was known as Old Vine Shiraz and was the first to use the term 'Old Vine'. It has been consistently great and always delights those who appreciate a good red. The nose is rich with the flavors of fresh berries and spice, typical of McLaren Vale, with a hint of eucalyptus. The wine's secondary notes of sarsaparilla, cinnamon, and clove only grow more pronounced as it opens up. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety, with a blend of red and purple fruits, hints of orange peel and earth, and a subtle kick of five spice on the finish. The well-balanced, fruity tannins give the wine a solid structure and bring all the flavors together harmoniously.
