Cathedral Cellar wines are named for the Cathedral Cellar, a magnificent creation - featuring a barrel-vaulted roof, stained glass windows, and granite and wood inlaid floors, built in 1930 and restored to splendour in 2005
This refined and contemporary Pinotage distinctly expresses its varietal essence, featuring rich aromas of blackcurrant, black cherries, plums, alongside subtle notes of fruitcake and marzipan. Its concentrated palate balances luscious fruit with harmoniously integrated oak. Silky tannins enhance a juicy, rounded, and seamless finish.
Matured for 18 months, 35% of the blend was aged in new barrels, with the remainder in second and third-fill barrels, using 85% French and 15% American oak. Ideal for sipping solo or pairing with meat casseroles, roasted game, Malay curries, or cheddar cheeses.
