This wine displays a pale yellow hue and an elegant bouquet of fragrant wildflowers, including chamomile, elderflower, and iris. On the palate, there is a mineral presence with a hint of sweet almond on the finish.
The grapes are destemmed and crushed, then undergo skin contact for 4 to 12 hours before being pressed. After a cold settling period of 12 to 24 hours at 5°C, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks and undergoes malolactic fermentation. It is then racked and aged for approximately 8 months in stainless steel.
This wine pairs exceptionally well with risotto, white fish, raw fish, and salads.
In the 1960s Giuseppe Inama, purchased parcels of old vine garganega on the volcanic soils of Soave Classico. His son Stefano developed the fabulously textural style of the Inama whites, with fermentation in stainless steel and small French oak for garganega and sauvignon blanc. With his sons Matteo, Luca and Alessio, Stefano recognised the untapped potential of near by Colli Berici, for the production of elegant, savoury reds from Bordeaux varieties, (cabernet, merlot and carmenère).
