A blend of 93% Nebbiolo and 7% Barbera, this wine boasts a brick red color with hints of ruby. The aromas are both fragrant and complex, with notes of rosehip, red cherry, and green gage plum. Subtle hints of sea spray, crushed herbs, musk, red licorice, and tomato stem add a touch of depth. On the palate, the wine is rich, intense, and textured, with supple red currant, savory tomato passata, and earthy root vegetable flavors. Fine yet firm mature tannins contribute to an elegant and lingering finish.

This was a challenging one, with below-average yields, but the quality was exceptional, showcasing the unique characteristics of the varietals. The dry Winter, Spring, and Summer, coupled with warmer than average temperatures, resulted in an early and well-balanced harvest in the Eden Valley.

Named after the pioneering Roesler family, who managed this property as a dairy for generations. The Nebbiolo vines have been planted on rocky soils on the elevated, foggy north-facing slope at the source of the North Para River. The low-yielding Nebbiolo is made using traditional techniques. Decanting is recommended.
