In this 2022 Chenin Blanc from MMAD Vineyard's Blewitt Springs, you'll experience the expertly crafted balance of fragrant frangipani notes, vibrant acidity, and bountiful fruit flavors like cumquat and yellow nectarine. With a touch of talc, this intense expression of old vine Chenin Blanc showcases the unique terroir of the vineyard, which was first planted in 1939 and now boasts some of the oldest Shiraz vines from 1941.
The location's unique combination of Maslin sands, ironstone pebbles, and sea breeze contribute to the wine's alluring perfume and structure. For this vintage, handpicked grapes were skillfully vinified using a mix of concrete and oak, with whole bunches pressed to preserve the high fruit concentration. The second MMAD vintage is the result of a low-yielding, cool season followed by a warmer harvest.
