Contesa Pecorino Abruzzo 2022

The Pecorino grape is a legendary story of a variety that was literally brought back from the brink of extinction. Elegant and rigorous. It is benchmark wine that embodies power and smoothness. It is one of Abruzzo’s top white wines.

Crushed and pressed grapes undergo maceration, followed by settling at low temperatures overnight. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks before bottling at the end of January. With proper aging, this wine can reach its full potential within 2-3 years. 

Pale yellow in color, the wine is full-bodied and features intense citrus aroma and a hint of hawthorn and orange blossoms. It is smooth, fresh and well-balanced, with a mineral structure from the grape variety. Enjoy with fish dishes, light pasta sauces, white meat, or cheese.
