This Bannockburn Pinot Noir provides an intense yet balanced expression, introducing aromas of dark cherries and warm spice. Hints of dried herbs and cedar precede dark cherry and bramble berry nuances on the palate. Rich flavors of blackberry, plum, and raspberry give the wine a concentrated fruity core, while a fine web of tannins lend support. The finish is long and structured, with subtle spice notes.

Mt Difficulty Bannockburn Pinot Noir adheres to rigorous standards; these include being grown in the temperamental Bannockburn environment south of the Kawarau River, and under the watchful eye of the Mt Difficulty team. The reason for maintaining these requirements is based on a belief that this area provides an ideal climate for cultivating the finest grapes, and that the overall stewardship of the vineyard is evident in the quality of the final product.
